Sanitation Management

As part of the prevention measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus, this policy aims to secure and improve the sanitation standards of the salon by managing the hygiene and sterilizing the facility and equipment of the salon, as well as managing the health of the employees and customers. The policy is based on the sanitation management rules as stipulated by the state of New York.

The equipment, tools, furnishings and wagons, beds, stools, etc. for the treatment will be [ -sterilized and/or disinfected every time it is used. Sterilized equipment and tools will be used ‘for every customer. Any wastes resulting from the treatment will be discarded into a sealed container. Any related equipment used in the treatment will be separated into pre- or post- sterilized items, and the hygiene of the commodity will be managed appropriately.

IMPORTANT NOTICE  

  • In order to prevent and manage infections, we require all of our customers to write down their contact information (telephone numbers and email addresses).
  • We will ask if the customer has masks and gloves, as well as inspect for fever and health upon arrival. We have the right to refuse any customers that do not have masks
    (Please ask us, as masks and gloves can be purchased at the reception desk.)
  • Please inform us if you have a fever, cough, or are unwell.
    (We may change the reservation depending on the health of the customer.)
  • Customers are to wash and sterilize their hands and fingers before receiving treatment.
  • Notice of Price Change

    To prevent the spread of coronavirus, we have invested in extra equipment and made changes to our sanitation rules in accordance with state regulations, to protect the health and safety of our staff and clients and to provide service with peace of mind. Due to this, we are charging an additional coronavirus prevention fee to our prices.

    Employee Management

  • Our store staff are all certified in their profession.
  • Our store staff is informed about the coronavirus, how to manage the sterilization and sanitation process, and have proper certifications from the relevant agencies.
  • Each day, employees are given a screening assessment and questionnaire before they start work
  • Temperature measurement
  • Cold symptoms such as cough, runny nose and fever
  • Positive results of tests in the past 14 days
  • Intense contact with a suspected infected or infected person in the past 14 days
  • Any staff member not feeling well are sent home to be self-quarantined.
  • In order to prevent infection, all of our staff are required to wear masks and face guards.
  • The staff will wash and sterilize the hands and fingers for every customer.
  • The staff will wear specialized indoor shoes, sanitized uniforms and aprons.

  • Reception

  • Sanitizing door mats will be placed at the store entrance.
  • A sneeze guard will be installed at the reception desk.
  • Hand sanitizers will be placed at the reception desk.
  • The reception staff will all be wearing masks and gloves.
  • Touch panels used during payment will be wiped down and sterilized after a customer uses it.
  • We will keep the store well-ventilated, wipe the reception area with disinfectant every 2 hours, and sterilize the space and floor using a sanitizing sprayer.
  • Please stay in the waiting area if there is a line at the check-out to avoid the reception area from becoming crowded. We will guide our customers in order.
  • Waiting Area

  • We will be adjusting the number of people that are waiting to implement social distancing. Please refrain from visiting the store in clusters (w/ children, friends, family, pets, etc.).
  • Please refrain from waiting to meet with others for a long time at the waiting area.
  • Our customers will be using paper cups with lids to prevent infection. These disposable cups are thrown away in specified areas.
  • We will temporarily stop providing snack services.
  • The waiting area will be wiped down with disinfectant every 2 hours, and the space and floor will be sterilized using a sanitizing sprayer.
  • Restroom

  • We will place disinfecting wipes at restrooms. .
  • We will place antibacterial soap. .
  • We will place sanitization alcohol solutions. .
  • Pease be sure to wash and sterilize your hands and fingers before receiving the treatment. .
  • We will display a manual to show how to wash your hands. .
  • Nail Salon

    (1) We will limit the number of people entering the treatment room. Side-by-side treatment for acquaintances will not be allowed.
    (2) About Reservations

  • Please notify us for extensions and hair fixing when making your reservation. We may not be able to accommodate the service if you request it upon your arrival.
  • We may not be able to accommodate any off-the-menu services.
  • We may not be able to offer the same service that was reserved if the customer is late or has changed his/her plans.
  • Please refrain from having simultaneous manicure and pedicure treatments.
  • (3) About Sanitation Management

  • Nail technicians will be wearing masks and face guards.
  • Each nail station will be installed with sneeze guards.
  • The staff will wash and sterilize the hands and fingers for every customer.
  • Before a customer will be using the nail station, the staff will sterilize the chair, desk, sneeze guards, etc.
  • Any tools such as nippers, pushers, electric filer bits, and files will be sterilized before it is used.
  • We will offer brand new files for customers to purchase and/or take home. Please notify your technician if you want to purchase it.
  • Please sterilize your hands and fingers before touching the color chart.
  • Please refrain from using a mobile phone during the treatment. If you must use a mobile phone, please sterilize the surface using disinfecting wipes.
  • (4) Sterilization Method

  • Cuticle nippers, cuticle pushers, nail nippers, electric nail machine bits, files
  • => After it is used, the tools will be cleaned with antibacterial soap, soaked in a hospital-grade tool-sterilization solution for 10 minutes, placed inside a pouch after drying, and will not be opened until it will be used for a customer.

  • Nail stations, chairs for customers and technicians, pedicure chair
  • => The surfaces will be sterilized with hospital-grade sterilization solution.

  • Pedicure bowl
  • Sterilize the hands and fingers of customers and staff members
  • Wash the hands of the customers and staff members
  • Hair Salon

  • Please come prepared with masks and gloves, as we require our customers to wear it.
    (Masks and gloves can be purchased at the front desk)
  • Customers will be seated 6 feet (1.8 meters) apart from others during the treatment.
  • Side-by-side seats will be separated by partitions.
  • Shampoo stations will be separated by partitions.
  • Disposable face gauze will be used during the shampoo treatment.

  • Stylists will wash and sterilize the hands and fingers before serving a customer.
  • Stylists will be sterilizing everything the previous customers have touched such as chairs, tables, and door knobs before the next customer.
  • Stylists will be wearing masks and face guards.
  • Only sterilized tools and equipment will be used, such as scissors, brushes, etc.
  • We will temporarily not offer magazines to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Sterilization Method


    Scissors
    => Clean with warm water after it is used, soaked in hospital-grade sterilization solution for 10 minutes, cleaned, dried, and stored inside an ultraviolet disinfector. Scissor cases will not be used.

    Combs, brushes, clippers
    => After it is used, hairs and dust will be removed, cleaned with antibacterial soap, soaked in hospital-grade sterilization solution for 10 minutes, cleaned, dried and stored inside an ultraviolet disinfector.

    Styling stations (table, mirror, chair), cutting chair, wagon, equipment, etc.
    => It will be sterilized using hospital-grade sterilization solution after a customer uses it. Cutting cloths, towels
    => Replaced with clean ones after a customer uses it. After soaking and sterilizing using sodium hypochlorite, washed, dried and stored inside a cabinet.

    Head Spa Room
    => After it is used, the entire surface will be sterilized using a government-certified and hospital-grade sterilization solution.
    => Disposable paper sheets will be used on reclining shampoo beds.

    SPA Salon

    Overview

    Technicians will all be wearing face masks.
    Technicians will be washing and sterilizing their hands and fingers before providing treatment.

    Massage Room (private room)

  • The space, floor, and door knobs of the treatment rooms will be sterilized every time it is used.
  • Disposable sheets and face covers will be placed on beds.
  • Sheets and towels will be replaced with clean ones for each customer.
  • Massage creams and oils will be separated beforehand into a bowl (for every customer) using a disinfected spatula.
  • Massage stones and bamboos will be sterilized and treated every time it is used. The tools will not be passed around and used, the items will be cleaned, soaked in sterilization solution, and dried.
  • Hot cabinets will be sterilized and dried every day.
  • Facial Room (private room)

  • Aestheticians will be wearing masks, face guards and gloves during the treatment.
  • The space, floor, and doorknobs of the facial rooms will be sterilized every time it is used.
  • Disposable sheets and face covers will be placed on beds.
  • Sheets and towels will be replaced with clean ones for every customer.
  • Tools and machinery used for the facial treatment will be sterilized for every customer.
  • Products used for the facial treatment will be separated in a bowl (for every customer) using a disinfected spatula.
  • Eyelash Extension Room (private room)

  • We will wear masks, face guards and gloves during the treatment.
  • Eyelash extensions will be stored inside a sterilized cabinet and taken out to be used as necessary.
  • The space, floor, and doorknobs of the treatment rooms will be sterilized every time it is used.
  • Disposable sheets will be used on beds.
  • Trays used to place glue and brushes are all disposable and clean
